They are now looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Client Assistant Manager. Part-time candidates will also be considered. Your New RoleAs a Client Assistant Manager, you will manage a portfolio of clients and act as a key point of contact across phone, email, and virtual meetings. You will also handle occasional on‑site client meetings. Your work will be varied and hands‑on, giving you exposure to a range of small practice clients and the opportunity to support a small accounts team.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing statutory accounts for small to medium Ltdpanies, including corporation taxputations
2. Producing unaudited accounts for sole traders and partnerships
3. Preparing self‑assessment tax returns
4. Overseeing and supporting a small team of accountants, including reviewing work
5. Managing your own portfolio, ensuring deadlines and client service levels are met
6. Liaising with HMRC on client queries
7. Representing the firm professionally and building strong client relationships
What You Will Need to Succeed
8. At least 3 years’ experience in a small practice environment
9. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
10. Confidence in preparing statutory accounts
11. A proactive, positive attitude
12. Strong IT skills including MS Office and familiarity with Xero, QuickBooks and Sage (Sage experience advantageous)
13. Professional qualification AAT/ACA/ACCA or QBE considered equally
