Gallagher Bassett are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Engineer to join our business inteligence team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate dashboards to our clients The successful candidate will be experienced and happy to present their findings to external and internal stakeholders and will be creative when building dashboards. Having completed the PL-300 qulaification would be a requirement. You will be joining a team of 6 experienced professionals who are based in our Chelmsford office. You will be required to work from the Chelmsford office so being able to commute to this office is a requirement. How you'll make an impact Work closely with the business intelligence team to understand client data needs and provide data-driven insights to support on findings relating to insurance claims and risk management queries Use data analysis and visualization tools to analyse large datasets and provide insights on market trends, claims experience, loss ratios, and other key performance indicators. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. Prepare reports and presentations to effectively communicate analytical findings to internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality checks and controls to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Participate in all aspects of the data lifecycle, including data pipelining, data analysis, and data visualization, to ensure effective execution. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analysis and visualization. About you A degree in a related field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, or engineering. Previous experience gained in data analyst/developer role using PowerBI.. Previous experience working in the insurance industry would be an advantage but is not essential. An advanced understanding of PowerBI and previous experience using SSRS, SQL, VBA and Azure is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
