Your new role
The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in managing supplier invoices, processing payments, and supporting disbursement administration. You’ll be part of a high-performing finance team that oversees accounting operations across the group.Duties:
1. Process purchase invoices and cheque requests in line with internal authorisation procedures.
2. Input supplier and associate invoices into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy in coding and payment terms.
3. Upload case-related disbursements to the practice management system
4. Manage bank and BACS payments, including remittance advice and reconciliation
5. Maintain financial records and respond to supplier queries
6. Reconcile bank accounts monthly and manage petty cash
7. Monitor deposit accounts and top up as needed
8. Send weekly invoice authorisation and follow-up emails
9. Scan and archive financial documents
10. Handle the daily finance post and assist with ad-hoc tasks as required by the Finance Operations Manager.
What you'll need to succeed
11. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within a professional services setting
12. Strong written and verbalmunication skills
13. Detail-oriented with a proactive, can-do attitude
14. Ability to work collaboratively across departments
15. Excellent time management and multitasking skills
16. Solid IT proficiency
17. Preferably experience in intellectual property or legal services
18. Familiarity with Inprotech (IP management software) is preferable.
19. Experience using Access accounting software is preferable.
