* JOB ROLE: Senior Support Worker
* LOCATION: Newport (NP19)
* SALARY: £14.45 – £15.05 per hour
About The Role
As a Senior Support Worker you’ll play a vital role in establishing a high standard of care, working alongside a dynamic team to support individuals and their families in every aspect of daily life. Your leadership will help us deliver a compassionate, person‑centred approach to support.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead by example, delivering hands‑on support to residents and ensuring they receive high‑quality care tailored to their individual needs.
* Supervise and mentor a team of Support Workers, providing guidance and support as they carry out their duties.
* Take responsibility for assessing and creating care plans in collaboration with residents, families and healthcare professionals.
* Ensure compliance with care standards and regulations, maintaining the safety and well‑being of everyone in the service.
* Develop and implement activities that support residents’ personal development, independence and emotional well‑being.
* Coordinate care needs, including assisting with healthcare appointments, administering medication and providing personal care where necessary.
* Maintain effective communication with residents, their families and healthcare teams to ensure a collaborative approach to care.

Additional Information
* Dependent on qualifications.
* This rate is applicable from 1st April 2026. Previous rate £13.60 – £14.20 per hour.
