The role of this Personal Care Assistant
Our personal care assistants join our client’s support team, providing reliable, essential care and support in their home. You will be employed by HomeCareDirect on behalf of the client, focusing solely on supporting them. This role covers 12 hours a week on a Monday, with flexibility to cover additional shifts if needed.
About the Client and Duties
Our client is a young man with special needs, autism, and limited mobility. He lives at home with his family in the Driffield area, and you will support him at his rural home. His interests include cooking, baking, crafts, drawing, board games, pool, riding his scooter, photography, animals, wildlife, shopping, and collecting Marvel and DC memorabilia.
He requires some personal care, but no moving and handling. Support duties include meal preparation, loading/unloading his scooter, cleaning, tidying, bed changes, and sanitising areas due to his brittle asthma. When out, ensure his safety and support, creating engaging activities within his ability range.
