Bid Manager (Construction / Civil Engineering)
Client
A professional construction company operating throughout the UK and Ireland, providing construction, property redevelopment and refurbishment services across a range of sectors. Due to continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a proven Bid Manager to step into a pivotal role within the business, with the scope to build and lead a dedicated bids function over time.
The Ideal Person
You will be an experienced bid professional with a background in the civil engineering or construction sector, ideally within a contractor environment. You will be highly organised, commercially aware and confident managing the full bid lifecycle, while working closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring procurement portals and other channels for new tender opportunities
* Leading the preparation, coordination and submission of high-quality bids and tenders
* Writing and tailoring CVs, case studies and capability statements
* Developing and maintaining a central bid library and templates
* Supporting wider business development and growth strategies
* Establishing best practice procedures for bid management
* Playing a key role in developing and leading the bid function as the business grows
Essential Criteria
* Proven experience managing bids within the civil engineering or construction sector
* Excellent written, editing and communication skills with strong attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
* Confident working independently and collaboratively with senior colleagues
* Commercially aware with an interest in business development
* Ambitious and adaptable with a desire to progress
Remuneration
£35,000 - £45,000 DOE + an excellent benefits package, including:
