The Role:
Were on the lookout for a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, building local relationships, and curating a lively, inclusive atmosphere through exciting events and quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day-to-day operations of the pub, ensuring exceptional standards in service, cleanliness, and food & drink quality.
Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a positive and respectful work culture.
Oversee and grow our events calendar, including quiz nights, live music, open mic nights, family events, and sports tournaments.
Manage budgets, stock levels, rotas, and all aspects of compliance, health & safety, and licensing regulations.
Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain consistent food quality and customer satisfaction.
Be a visible presence during busy periods especially evenings and weekends engaging with guests and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Proactively promote the pub through local outreach, partnerships, and social media, helping to boost footfall and repeat business.
Respond to customer feedback in a positive, solution-focused manner.
About You:
A proven track record as a successful pub or hospitality manager.
Confident, hands-on, and able to lead from the front.
Experience in managing live events and community-focused initiatives.
Financially astute, with solid experience in managing budgets and driving profitability.
Committed to providing outstanding customer service and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
Comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Excellent communication skills and a people-first mindset.
