The Role
This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment. You’ll be trained from the ground up in all aspects of recruitment, working across both the Bedford and Huntingdon branches. You’ll play a key role in sourcing and placing candidates with our clients, while delivering an outstanding service to both sides of the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Resourcing and identifying suitable candidates through job boards, CV databases, and third-party platforms
2. Writing and posting compelling, accurate job adverts across multiple channels
3. Screening candidates by telephone and in person to assess suitability
4. Reviewing CVs and matching candidate profiles to client vacancies
5. Proactively reaching out to candidates to build a strong and active talent pool
6. Answering all inbound calls promptly and professionally, including taking after-hours calls when required
7. Conducting candidate registrations and interviews
8. Building and formatting professional CVs to present candidates to clients effectively
9. Carrying out thorough reference checks in line with company and client standards
10. Checking and processing compliance documentation including right-to-work, ID, licences, and qualifications
11. Matching candidates to client requirements, taking into account skills, availability, and location
12. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records on the recruitment database
13. Liaising with clients to understand their staffing needs and provide timely updates
14. Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks and ad hoc duties as required
15. Developing your knowledge of the transport and logistics sector to better serve clients and candidates
What We’re Looking For
16. A confident and professional communicator, both on the phone and in writing
17. Organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload
18. A positive, can-do attitude with a genuine desire to help people
19. Resilient and comfortable working in a results-driven environment
20. Strong attention to detail, particularly when reviewing documents and CVs
21. Previous experience in a customer-facing, administrative, or sales role is advantageous but not essential – full training will be provided
22. A full UK driving licence is desirable
What We Offer
23. £26,000 per annum starting salary
24. Working hours of 07:30–15:30, Monday to Friday
