Role: Substation Project Engineer

Duration: 6-Months + Possible Extension
Rates: £750 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK
Key Accountabilities
* Creating outline scope, site location plans, primary plant layout and Single Line Diagrams for new build and asset replacement type projects, operating up to 400kV.
* Reviewing contractor/consultants detailed designs and witnessing Factory Acceptance Testing.
* Implementing safety by design principles to ensure that engineering and safety risks are adequately controlled.
* Support site and operational teams to ensure the quality of installations, with minimal risk to Network security.
* Evaluate tenders and procure and manage specialist services from consultants
Essential Qualifications / Skill Set
* Candidates must be degree qualified electrical engineers to be considered for this role.
* Previous Transmission experience required.
* A minimum of 3+ Years substation project engineer experience up to 400kV
* Proven experience in high-voltage substation design, operation, and maintenance.
* Proficiency in project management
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
* Full UK Working Rights
