An outstanding opportunty has arisen for a CFO in a growing, international business consultancy. Our client has operations across the UK, Middle East and USA.
With plans to grow over the next 5 years the Group are seeking an operational CFO to support the owners with their ambitions. This will be a broad role, with oversight of Finance, HR, Legal and IT.
Responibilities will include:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, manage, and motivate a finance team of approximately 20.
Review team roles and responsibilities to ensure robust financial controls.
Promote a business partnering approach across the function.
Review and enhance management information and board packs.
Agree KPIs and oversee monthly management accounts.
Cashflow, Treasury & Working Capital Management
Proactively manage cashflow and working capital across the Group.
Build relationships with key clients.
Oversee cash across multiple international bank accounts.
Lead the Group budgeting process and financial planning with MDs/CEOs of operating companies.
Act as a strategic partner to Owner and MDs across the Group.
Identify Group synergies and cost-saving opportunities.
Evaluate and support due diligence for acquisition opportunities.
Assist the Chairman with fund and capital raising activities.
Commercial
Review commercial contracts ensuring profitability and robust margins.
Support Operations with new bids/tenders and Preferred Supplier Agreements.
Risk Management, Compliance and Corporate Governance
I mplement measures to de-risk UK operations, particularly in temporary staffing businesses.
Identify potential risks in commercial contract negotiation
Oversee Group Compliance (GDPR, IR35 etc)
Set and maintain corporate governance standards and best practice
External Relationships
Manage relationships with auditors, banks, corporate financiers, and legal advisors.
Review supplier arrangements where necessary.
Tax
Oversee corporation tax, tax structuring, and international tax matters, engaging advisors as required.
Legal / IT / HR / Corporate
Oversee Group Legal, IT and HR matters
Candidate Requirements
ACA / CA Qualified (or equivalent)
Able to thrive in a people driven business, a dynamic finance leader.
Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with senior leadership across Group.
High energy and enthusiasm to deliver corporate objectives, keeping pace with owner.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a commitment to best practices.
Experience in a people-based service industry.
Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels.
Advanced financial modelling skills and M&A experience.
Ability to thrive in a high-growth business culture.
Hybrid Working Arrangements
The role can be based from Bristol, or London and will require being office based at least 3 days a week. Addtional occasional travel internationally.
