The Manchester-based Financial Advisory team has led many of the largest and most complex assignments in the region over recent years. Notable projects include advising Studio Retail plc, Urban Splash Haus, Missguided Retail, and Broadway Fibre LLP. The team boasts a market-leading advisory presence, working with a diverse range of corporates (both plc and privately owned), PE firms, and lenders. Recent projects include advising McBride plc on refinancing, Matalan group on refinancing and restructuring, and Eddie Stobart Logistics plc on a rescue transaction. Opportunities also arise throughout the year to collaborate with the broader Teneo Financial Advisory practice on national and international assignments.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside our experienced team, who will support you in developing your advisory skills and experience. You will collaborate with seasoned practitioners advising boards, management teams, lenders, and shareholders of companies facing underperformance or financing challenges.
As a Manager, you will have the chance to work on a diverse array of engagements across sectors, with significant responsibility for leading workstreams, managing junior staff, and supporting Directors and Managing Directors in client-facing activities.

Key Responsibilities
* Managing projects and appointments, supporting senior leaders in managing external stakeholders
* Assisting management teams in preparing and challenging business plans, cash flow forecasts, and restructuring plans
* Developing and analyzing restructuring options with input from strategy or tax teams
* Managing insolvency appointments, engaging stakeholders, and supporting Insolvency Practitioners
* Liaising with legal teams to understand documentation and drive processes like term sheets and loan agreements
* Leading diverse teams within an inclusive culture, recognizing contributions, and actively managing project risks
* Supporting business development efforts, expanding networks, and participating in marketing activities
* Identifying opportunities to grow existing engagements and provide wider Teneo services
* Leading marketing initiatives and supporting practice and talent development
* Mentoring junior staff and supporting wider training initiatives
Key Skills & Experience
* Experience in financial restructuring, insolvency, or transactions from a professional services firm, consultancy, bank, or related fund
* Understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements, and legal documentation
* Knowledge of restructuring, insolvency, and transaction markets, trends, and key players
* Strong analytical skills in business analysis, planning, cash flows, and insolvency procedures
* Excellent interpersonal, reporting, and financial analysis skills
* Leadership ability to develop small teams and mentor staff
* Fluent in oral and written English
