We have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Fosse Way.
Practice Plus Group is delighted to have been awarded the healthcare contract for HMP Fosse Way, a Category C resettlement prison in Leicester, from 1st July 2025.
HMP Fosse Way opened in May 2023. Its state-of-the-art design and facilities provide a secure environment to offer skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment upon release and reduce reoffending rates.
This position is full-time, with an annual salary of up to £60,000 depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job
* Assess and manage wide-ranging and complex patient problems with sound judgement
* Provide clinical leadership for the mental health team, which includes a variety of registered and non-registered professionals such as mental health and substance misuse practitioners
* Act as a role model, maintaining professional appearance and standards at all times
* Support senior clinicians on-site, contributing to daily leadership and providing clinical input for all patients
* Work as a clinical expert to ensure patient safety, manage complex cases, and apply the most up-to-date treatment methodologies

Qualifications required:
* Registered Nurse (Adult Mental Health) with current NMC registration or Registered Paramedic with current HCPC registration
* Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
* MSc in Advanced Practice
* Experience working autonomously as an advanced clinical practitioner following best practice guidance
While not essential, ideal candidates will have experience in hospital, community, or prison settings.
