About this Role
Permanent, 20-25 hours per week, preferably working 6-8am and 3-6pm per day negotiable depending on candidate suitability
Emmanuel Junior Academy are part of The Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust and we are seeking a diligent and proactive Caretaker with good interpersonal skills and high standards. We need a person who loves to fix, clean, build, check, unblock, paint, mow, weed and take genuine ownership and pride in our school. The Caretaker will be directly responsible to the Head of School but will work closely with the Trust Buildings Manager, Senior Leadership Team, Office Manager, and other school staff.
The Caretaker is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the school site ensuring the buildings and grounds are clean and safe, ready for the children and staff to work, learn and play. Your role will include opening up and locking up the school, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards

2. · Has a trade background/training in either plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting/decorating, electrician, grounds maintenance

6. · A good team member, but able to work independently
