About the Role
The role offers hybrid working (two office days per week) from our Support Office in Handforth, Cheshire.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting & Compliance, you will:
Lead and develop a team of 3 assistant accountants
Oversee statutory reporting for 400+ joint venture practices (FRS 102) and group-managed entities (FRS 101)
Review and prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage audits for Vet Group subsidiaries and act as a key contact for external auditors
Drive technical accounting projects, including IFRS 16 implementation
Maintain and evolve the Vet Business accounting manual and best practices
Support audits, ONS reporting and ad-hoc finance initiatives
About You
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA)
Strong experience in financial reporting and statutory accounts
Solid knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS (incl. IFRS 9, 15, 16)
Experience in practice or a similar reporting-driven environment
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Proven leadership and the ability to influence across teams
