Job Title: Deputy General Admissions Supervisor
Contract: Permanent/Full time
Hours: 8:30-5pm
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Location: 1-3 Marlborough Place, Brighton, BN1 1UB (some flexibility for hybrid working after completion of probationary period)
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen with St Giles International, one of the market leaders in the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) training field - a vibrant industry contributing £1.2 billion to the UK economy alone.
As a Deputy General Admissions Supervisor, you will act as part of the management team for the Bookings department, acting as second in command to the General Admissions Supervisor.
The Bookings department are the first point of contact for our Overseas Partners and students, providing information regarding all centres within the St Giles International group (including our UK and our Junior Summer Centres), processing enrolments and working to increase the likelihood of conversions
Within the role, there will be a varied mixture of direct instruction, independent work, project work, supervised work and teamwork. The job demands outstanding customer service skills. You will be required to report to, update and consult the General Admissions Supervisor regularly. You will be expected to compose your own correspondence on a daily basis, and we will encourage increased ownership of customer enquiries as you progress with us.
To carry out the non-exhaustive list of tasks below:
· Acting as support for the General Admissions Supervisor and deputising for him/her when required including delegating work to your fellow team members
· Helping to institute policies and procedures
· Taking a critical view of our procedures & suggesting improvements as required
· Taking an active role in our staff training scheme
· Contributing to the creation of a Bookings training manual
· Assisting with recruitment as required
· Working on a variety of projects to improve the performance of the Bookings team
· Acting as the first point of contact for Overseas Partners and students, providing information about all schools in the UK and Canada via incoming calls, emails and other communication channels
· Managing, responding and following up on WhatsApp and online chat enquires
· Processing enrolments including tuition, transfers, accommodation, and insurance
· Processing changes to enrolments, including amending invoices and liaising with the Finance Department regarding any refunds
· To operate and maintain the school's Customer Management System (CMS)
· Liaising with Principals, Accommodation Heads and Academic Management at individual centres regarding availability, special requests, etc.
· Liaising with the Marketing Department, the Sales Department and Head Office as required
· Taking any additional useful actions to increase the likelihood of conversions from enquiries to bookings
· Maintaining good relationships with both direct students and Overseas Partners, offering quick support & assistance
· Consistently delivering outstanding customer service
· Keeping the Group Admissions Supervisor, the Principals and Senior Head Office Staff informed of all important matters
About You
· At least two years of administration experience
· A minimum of 3 A-Levels or equivalent
· Enthusiasm for the company and industry
· High standards of spoken and written English (B2+ on CEFR scale or similar)
· High standard of numeracy and literacy
· Excellent organisation skills – meticulous and well-organised with a proven ability to multitask
· Hardworking with excellent work ethic, the ability to prioritise work, to meet deadlines and to work as part of a team
· Good interpersonal skills
· Good ICT skills (familiar with Microsoft Office)
· Willingness to learn, able to take feedback and be self-reflective
· Permission to work in the UK
Desirables:
· Additional fluency in Foreign languages
· Knowledge of foreign cultures
Terms
· Salary £30,000 per annum
· Annual Leave: 20 days + bank holidays rising to 25 days + bank holidays
