Interim Internal Audit Manager (Conduct & Operational Audits)
Location: Yorkshire (Hybrid – 1–2 days in the office per week based on audit requirements)
Contract Type: Interim (Maternity Cover)
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Our Yorkshire-based client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Internal Audit Manager to join their team, providing maternity cover within the internal audit function. This is a critical role focused on delivering conduct and operational audits across the business.
Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and deliver end-to-end audits, from planning through to fieldwork and reporting.
\t
* Evaluate key customer-facing and operational processes and controls.
\t
* Ensure audits are aligned with relevant FCA regulatory frameworks, including CONC, DISP, SYSC, and the Consumer Duty requirements.
\t
* Provide clear, concise reporting and recommendations to senior management.
\t
* Influence and engage with key stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in governance, risk management, and controls.
About You:
\t
* Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent).
\t
* Proven experience in conduct and operational audits, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment.
\t
* Strong knowledge of relevant FCA regulations and an appreciation of conduct risk.
\t
* Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
\t
* Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid working environment.
