We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our KierBam JV project at Devonport Dockyard based in Plymouth, Devon. KierBAM is a Joint Venture (JV) partnership between Kier and Bam Nuttall, currently delivering a redevelopment project at a Royal Navy site.

Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you'll work within the Nuclear team, supporting the delivery of the redevelopment project at the Dockyard.
Your Day-to-Day Will Include
* Assist in recording and testing workmanship and materials, such as drainage, concrete, piling, brickwork, etc.
* Provide engineering support to resolve technical problems and answer queries.
* Set out works within allowable tolerances.
* Check setting out points and benchmarks regularly, ensuring instruments are calibrated and recorded.
* Maintain setting out and dimensional control for accurate construction.
What Are We Looking for in a Site Engineer?
This role is suitable if you have:
* A degree in civil engineering or equivalent (e.g., BSc, BA, BEng, Meng, Eng, Tech, MICE, TIStructE, LCIBSE, LCIBSEEng Tech, or completion of Higher Apprenticeship).
* Experience with Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for setting out and surveying.
* Experience in a similar role.
Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks are required, including BPSS level security clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks. Candidates with EU, NATO, 5 Eyes, or MISWG member passports and UK residence for the last 5 years are eligible.
