Textiles Teacher – Full-Time (Temporary)
Pay: £140–£220 per day (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working with one of our partner secondary schools to recruit a creative and skilled Textiles Teacher for a full-time, temporary role. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about design, creativity, and hands-on learning, and who enjoys inspiring students through fashion and textile design ✂️✨
The Role:
* Deliver engaging Textiles lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
* Teach practical skills such as sewing, pattern making, fabric techniques, and surface decoration
* Encourage creativity, independent design thinking, and craftsmanship
* Maintain a safe, well-organised, and inclusive practical learning environment
* Support the wider Design & Technology department as required
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Strong subject knowledge in Textiles or Design & Technology
* Confident managing practical lessons and workshop equipment
* Creative, organised, and enthusiastic about teaching
* Recent experience teaching Textiles in UK secondary schools
