Are you looking to start or take the next step in your physiotherapy career? Join our friendly and forward-thinking Therapy Team at West Herts, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop across a range of exciting clinical specialties.
We’re offering a fantastic Band 5 rotational post designed to build your confidence, broaden your experience, and support your development as a physiotherapist.
You’ll rotate every four months across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including:
* Elderly Care
* Medicine
* Respiratory including ITU
* Surgical (including Amputees)
* MSK Outpatients
* Paediatrics
* Acute Stroke Unit
* Orthopaedics – trauma and elective
You’ll be fully supported by a highly experienced and welcoming senior team, with regular supervision, preceptorship, appraisals, and access to in‑service training. You’ll also gain valuable experience supporting therapy assistants and working within a multidisciplinary environment.
The department operates a 7‑day service, with participation in the weekend rota (approximately 1 in 6 weekends) and corresponding rest days during the week. Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:15 – 16:30.
Please note: this post also includes participation in the evening respiratory on‑call rota.

Responsibilities
* Deliver a complex package of high‑quality healthcare, including assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with various needs.
* Assess and treat your own caseload of patients and maintain your own records as an autonomous practitioner.
* Communicate with relevant medical and nursing staff, social workers, other health‑care professionals, and patients’ relatives and carers to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
* Actively participate in continuous professional development and departmental educational and training activities.
* Receive regular clinical supervision from a more senior member of the team, including formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences, and reflective practice.
* Undertake out‑of‑hours on‑call duties overnight and at weekends (working autonomously).
* Participate in a seven‑day roster and fulfil contractual hours.
