Are you a senior lawyer in Pensions looking for a 24-26 month track to partnership?
This large, progressive Pensions department has several new roles available due to significant growth, making it a very exciting time to join. The partner has identified that, for the right person, they would be considering a 2-3 year track to partnership.
The Firm
This firm is headquartered in London with over 10 offices across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. With a large international presence, they hold a diverse range of expertise. The overriding ethos of the firm is quality; they pride themselves on individuality, teamwork, commitment, and a straightforward approach. Technology and innovation are key parts of the firm, but the people are central to its growth.
This firm is a Top 30 ranked law firm, offering exposure to extensive international work. Over 25% of their staff are based outside the UK, providing many opportunities overseas, including international secondments. The firm’s strong domestic and international brand can significantly advance your career.
The Role
This is a standout opportunity for a Pensions Managing Associate with 6+ years PQE to join this top 30 law firm in London.
You will join partners who are ex-Magic Circle lawyers, having left to gain greater control and work-life balance. The team includes a counsel-level lawyer formerly at Slaughter & May.
The team needs a reliable senior-level lawyer (also recruiting at more junior levels to support growth) as they have secured many new projects. The team is self-sufficient, creating a dynamic environment where each day offers new challenges. There are junior team members to delegate to, senior colleagues to collaborate with, and significant internal progression opportunities.
Unique Selling Point (USP)
There is no corporate support, making work-life balance more achievable compared to teams supporting corporate transactions. Most work involves trustee advisory, which distinguishes this role in the market. The partner is committed to working closely with the successful candidate to support their pathway to partnership.
The advisory team comprises 13 members, with additional support from litigation colleagues. Since there is no corporate work, lawyers enjoy a better work/life balance with consistent hours.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified solicitor with 6+ years of PQE in a leading Pensions team.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Enthusiasm for intellectually challenging work.
* Competitive salary and excellent benefits, with clear progression paths.
* A flexible, friendly working environment and supportive team culture.
* Experience with large, high-profile UK and international issues.
