Our Newly Qualified (NQ) training programme focuses on supporting colleagues transition to the role of Associate. The programme is designed to cover a range of topics including career development and financial training as well as build networks and facilitate collaboration, creating a real sense of togetherness across our NQ group to develop your career with the Firm.

What sort of work?Right now, our highly regarded Real Estate group is looking for a newly qualified Associate to join our growing Transactional Real Estate (TRE) team. This role will support the TRE team in delivering first class service to its clients. The role provides a varied workload including:

* Residential development work acting for wide range of developers and landowners, including setting up sites for disposal of dwellings and sale of affordable housing
* Strategic land work acting for promoters and landowners including promotion agreements and options and linking with our leading private wealth practice
* Landlord and tenant and commercial real estate and development work – acting for broad spectrum of corporates, public authorities, trusts, charities and landowners and including a range of infrastructure and sustainable development projects
* Energy work including projects across a range of energy technologies and BESS and servicing a range of leading energy company clients

The role will encompass a range of work within these areas depending on your enthusiasm and experience.

Why this team?Our Transactional Real Estate Team is a leading real estate team with 40 colleagues operating across all offices and including many lawyers named as leading individuals in Chambers and Partners.

The team have a market leading profile in residential development and strategic land, sustainable economy and energy work and commercial real estate work.

The team prides itself on its highly commercial, collaborative and creative approach. It services its City, national and south west client base with lawyers working together across its highly aligned Exeter, Bristol, London and Cheltenham office bases.

Most people in the team choose to work at least half their working week in the office, with the balance of time spent working from home. Who are we looking for?We are looking for somebody who will understand our values and thrive in our culture. The role will be based in our Exeter, Cheltenham or Bristol office and the ideal candidate will have:

* Undertaken a trainee seat in commercial real estate practice.
* Exhibit high levels of client service (both to internal and external clients).
* A genuine interest in promoting business development opportunities.

Other skills required include:

* A commercial, creative and 'Can do' approach to work and an ability to provide clients with solutions.
* An interest in and an ability to quickly understand the client's business is essential.
* Excellent interpersonal skills; effective communicator at all levels (written and verbal).
* Enthusiastic, friendly team player.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines in a flexible and proactive way.
* Understand the importance of confidentiality and use of tact and discretion.
* Excellent work ethic, committed to working towards goals with enthusiasm and career commitment and on-going learning and development.
