Job Title: Musician Tutors (Orchestral Strings and Woodwind teams)
Salary: PO1 £37,035 - £39,513 (pro rata)

About You
As a musical instrument Tutor, you’ll bring:
* A high level of ability in the instrument being taught and knowledge of teaching that instrument family
* A broad knowledge of music teaching and current instrumental teaching trends
* Understanding of various musical styles and appropriate repertoire for the specific instrument family
* Enthusiasm to motivate learners of all abilities
* A commitment to developing your pupils, including introducing them to wider playing opportunities such as the City of Leeds Youth Music groups
About The Role
You’ll use your skills and experience to inspire and develop pupils, helping them progress on their chosen instrument and broadening their musical understanding. You will encourage engagement with wider opportunities like school ensembles and youth music groups. Teaching will involve small group and whole class lessons, with opportunities to conduct youth ensembles.

Job Description
Purpose: Deliver effective instrumental or vocal lessons in various settings across Leeds, aligned with ArtForms' practices.
Responsibilities:
* Engage pupils using effective teaching methods
* Support delivery of the National Curriculum in Music, including exam preparation
* Deliver scheduled lessons during and after school hours
* Participate in and lead performances and ensemble activities
* Maintain contact with schools regarding pupil progress and attendance
* Assess pupils’ needs and support their learning
* Record attendance and progress, and provide reports
* Manage learning environments and resources
* Promote inclusion, equality, and diversity in all activities
* Participate in meetings and professional development
* Undertake additional duties as required
Qualifications
Essential: Qualification to Grade 8 on at least one instrument or equivalent, plus a relevant professional or teaching qualification.
