Job Title: Geospatial Specialist / Developer
Location: Salisbury, UK (Hybrid)

Our client is a leading energy solutions business, providing mission critical infrastructure assets and technical solutions to the global offshore energy industry.
They are seeking a Geospatial Specialist off the back of increased growth and a busy project pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Prepare and manage project mapping deliverables, datasets, and spatial databases.
▪ Support tendering with baseline mapping, statistics, and spatial analysis.
▪ Maintain the company’s geospatial data infrastructure to ensure consistency across the business.
▪ Provide geospatial input into reports, charts, and presentations.
▪ Integrate and manage spatial data from various sources.
▪ Assist in standardising geospatial outputs and improving spatial QA/QC
▪ Design, develop, and maintain geospatial tools to automated workflows to support offshore surveys, 3D modelling, spatial data analysis and reporting.
▪ Build and maintain reusable scripts and ETL pipelines (e.g. for QGIS, Python and other processing software) to support data processing, reporting, and delivery workflows.
▪ Develop and support web-based and/or script-driven geospatial applications.
▪ Explore new methods for handling spatial data (e.g., imagery analysis, machine learning, database optimisation).
▪ Contribute to a spatial data platform strategy, ensuring robust and scalable data infrastructure.
▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate spatial capabilities into broader services.
Job Requirements:
▪ Strong understanding of geospatial principles.
▪ Experience in geospatial data analysis and processing, particularly in support of offshore or marine survey projects.
▪ Ability to interpret and handle large geospatial datasets.
▪ Experience with interactive dashboards and web mapping tools.
▪ Proficiency in Python, QGIS, ETL Processes and JavaScript.
▪ Experience with spatial databases (PostGIS or similar).
▪ Knowledge of APIs, data pipelines, or dashboarding tools.
▪ Experience developing tools, plugins and scripts to enhance geospatial workflows.
▪ Capability in streamlining geospatial processes through automation and continuous improvement.
The role itself is based in Salisbury, and ideally will require the individual to be in 2/3 days a week. If not commutable, it would require a relocation.
