We are looking for an experienced and forward thinking Operations Manager to lead our frontline housing services team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll oversee a key stream of work within the housing team, delivering excellent services that consistently exceed customer expectations. You’ll combine a strong customer focus with commercial awareness, ensuring services are not only compassionate and responsive but also cost effective, efficient, and aligned to organisational priorities. You’ll be someone who is confident analysing data, spotting trends, and using insight to inform strategic decisions. There is an expected level of travel to our customers and partners across our geography within this role. The role will involve: Being part of the leadership team for a large housing team and managing day to day housing operations. Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Interpreting data and insights to drive performance, benchmark outcomes, and inform decision making. Thinking strategically to shape and implement service improvements and long term plans. Championing continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery. Shaping strategic direction alongside the Head of Housing and two other Operations Managers. Designing and delivering place based approaches tailored to community needs. Leading cultural change initiatives that promote trust, empowerment, and collaboration. Coaching and mentoring managers to foster a high performing, inclusive environment. Building strong relationships with internal teams and external partners. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in housing operations management or a similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of lettings, rent collection, tenancy management, and complex casework. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. A customer centred mindset with the ability to balance service quality and commercial effectiveness. Strong analytical skills and confidence using performance data to drive outcomes and support decision making. Ability to think strategically, plan ahead, and lead teams through change. Commitment to cultural transformation and place based working. CIH Level 4 qualification or willingness to complete it.
