Workforce Planner Liverpool Docks, Liverpool (L21 1LA) £32,000 - £36,000 per annum DOE MSS Infrastructure are currently recruiting for a Workforce Planner to support operations within a busy and fast-paced port environment based at Liverpool Docks. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with experience in workforce planning, labour allocation, scheduling, recruitment coordination, or operational resource planning. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring staffing requirements are met efficiently while maintaining strong relationships with workers, operational teams, and the client. Key Responsibilities Plan and allocate workforce requirements to meet operational demands Ensure all shifts are filled with suitably trained, compliant and available workers Liaise with clients and operational teams regarding staffing requirements and operational changes Monitor attendance, absence management and shift coverage Respond quickly to operational issues, shift changes and staffing shortages Maintain accurate workforce records, reports and planning documentation Ensure compliance with company procedures, working time regulations and health & safety requirements Support recruitment, onboarding and workforce mobilisation activities where required Build and maintain positive working relationships with workers, supervisors and clients Participate in the on-call rota to support operational coverage outside standard working hours What Were Looking For Essential Experience & Skills Previous experience in workforce planning, resource planning, scheduling or recruitment coordination Experience working within a fast-paced operational environment Good understanding of shift planning and labour allocation Strong administrative and organisational skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Competent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word Understanding of compliance requirements, working time regulations and health & safety procedures Desirable Experience within ports, logistics, industrial, warehouse or infrastructure environments Knowledge of agency workforce operations Experience managing temporary labour requirements Full UK driving licence Whats on Offer Competitive salary of £32,000 - £36,000 depending on experience Opportunity to work within a major operational environment Long-term career prospects with an established infrastructure support business Dynamic and varied role with operational responsibility Supportive team environment If you have experience coordinating workforces, planning operational staffing requirements, or managing labour allocation within a fast-moving environment, we would like to hear from you.
