Management Accountant
London | Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home)

Meshh is a fast-growing, data-driven technology business providing location intelligence and analytics to global brands and event organisers. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a hands-on Management Accountant to take ownership of month-end reporting and core finance operations within our London team.
This is a broad, visible role in a collaborative SME environment — ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and working closely with operational stakeholders.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll oversee day-to-day finance processes while delivering accurate, timely monthly reporting and maintaining strong financial controls.
You'll play a key role in ensuring the numbers are right, processes are robust, and the business has clear financial insight to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Operations
* Oversee sales ledger, purchase ledger, expenses and reconciliations
* Manage credit control and cash collection
* Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
* Maintain and reconcile stock records, supporting periodic stock checks
* Ensure strong financial controls and accurate record-keeping
Management Accounts
* Prepare monthly management accounts
* Post accruals, prepayments and journals
* Complete full balance sheet reconciliations
* Produce revenue, margin and cost analysis
* Monitor and report on cash flow
* Support budgeting and reforecasting processes
Compliance
* Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
* Support year-end processes and external advisors
* Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
Commercial Support
* Partner with budget holders to monitor spend and performance
* Deliver clear variance analysis and commentary
* Identify and implement process improvements within finance
About You
* Qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), or QBE with strong relevant experience
* Experience preparing management accounts independently
* SME or growing business experience desirable
* Strong VAT knowledge
* Experience managing or reconciling stock
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experience using Xero or similar accounting systems
* Proactive, organised and comfortable working autonomously
