At Tyne Coast College, we pride ourselves on our excellent facilities and a dedicated, knowledgeable team who work collaboratively to support every learner’s journey. We are currently seeking Learning Support Assistants to join our inclusive and learner-focused team.
🌟 What You’ll Do:
* Provide tailored support to learners with a range of disabilities, both in group settings and one-to-one.
* Assist in the delivery of learning programmes, including support with Maths and English.
* Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
* Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to ensure learners reach their full potential.
✅ Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting SEND Learners, across a range of disabilities.
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/Level 2 or willingness to work towards.
* Strong communication and ICT skills.
* A positive, empathetic attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
🌱 Desirable:
* Experience supporting learners with behaviours that challenge.
* Experience supporting learners in Maths and English.
* Level 3 Diploma in Education and Training.
* Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification.
* Awareness of current developments in Further Education and SEND.
