About The Role
Working as a member of the IT Infrastructure Remote Sites team, the IT Infrastructure Field Engineer’s role is to provide customer-focused technical support to a range of internal users. As a field engineer it will be your responsibility to provide an onsite presence at our sites to facilitate, setup and repair of all IT equipment.
This role requires a full clean driving license as you will be visiting our sites located throughout the UK. Overnight stays may be required where necessary.
IT Infrastructure are responsible for developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. Alongside this, Sunbelt Rentals are currently engaged on an exciting digital transformation project. The IT Infrastructure team’s role is to enable this transformation with modern systems, delivered to best practices, while ensuring the ongoing operations of the business are not impacted.
The role is responsible for:
1. Install, configuration and support of network connectivity, printers, remote services, workstation and mobile/ tablets.
2. Support Microsoft Office (Outlook/ Calendar/ pst files/365)
3. Document technical specifications and reports
4. Perform and review depot IT audits
5. Proactive site visits to ensue smooth running of IT systems

To succeed as an IT Infrastructure Field Engineer you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:
6. Operational IT Support experience
7. Strong communication skills, both oral and written
8. Experience of working collaboratively with people in other functions and at various levels across the business
9. Knowledge of Microsoft Server technology and Infrastructure platforms
10. Full Clean Driving Licence
11. Ability to complete tasks methodically, with an eye for detail
Desirable:
12. Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
13. Take personal ownership of callouts and support calls to deliver a permanent resolution.
14. Experience of attending customer sites in order to facilitate repair/exchange on technical equipment.
15. Good logical skills and ability to prioritise tasks depending upon the emergency situations.
16. Ability to interpret technical issues through the non-technical description provided by the user.
