We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Senior Support Worker to join our team here at iBC Healthcare at one of our Residential services.

* Role: Senior Support Worker
* Pay Rate: £12.65 Per Hour
* Shifts: Days
* Full time: 36 hours per week


Duties

* To support people with disabilities, including individuals with profound and complex needs, using person-centred approaches to enable people to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
* Basic daily duties include medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork/Audits.
* To provide emotional and practical support for the people you support and the Team.
* To support the people in our care to access community facilities and be included in community groups.
* To build a robust relationship with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
* To empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
* Accurately report, record, and maintain records as required and working to care plans.
* Completing and supporting with audits and medication rounds.
* To support the Team Leader with the daily running of the shift.


Person Specifications

* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
* A full UK Manual driving licence is desirable.
* An NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
* The ability to multi-task.
* Good time management, organization, attention to detail and flexibility.
* IT literate.
* A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
* Good communication skills.
* You must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality.
* Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
* Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
* Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
