Opportunity: Senior Buyer - Laboratory Equipment
We are partnering with a world-class innovation and research centre embarking on an exciting growth journey. The Senior Buyer for Laboratory Equipment is a newly created role within a greenfield procurement team, supporting the Head of Procurement and the wider team to deliver first-class procurement activities and develop robust systems across the group.
Responsibilities include managing the entire procurement process, owning category strategies, supporting supplier onboarding, and monitoring procurement systems. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the pharmaceutical or private healthcare sectors, particularly in sourcing high-value laboratory equipment and consumables. You will act as the key interface for stakeholder groups, managing relationships with scientists and professors.
The organisation has significant growth plans over the next three years, including a new state-of-the-art campus and expanding headcount from hundreds to thousands by 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and pioneering research organisation.
The role is based in Oxford, requiring onsite presence 3-4 days a week, and candidates must have the right to work permanently in the UK.
