Kapiti/Equation Support Analyst

Rate/Salary: 50,000.00 - 80,000.00 GBP Yearly (Permanent)
Job Purpose
Responsible for providing business and technology support for core applications.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide technical support for production applications (e.g., Kapiti/GMM/OFAC).
* Ensure application availability, reliability, and stability.
* Own and resolve production issues promptly using appropriate methodologies.
* Liaise with users, internal tech teams, and vendors to resolve issues.
* Maintain support documentation and operations manuals, including disaster recovery (DR).
* Adhere to change management and compliance procedures.
* Participate in after‑hours on‑call support and reduce repeat issues.
* Assist with capacity planning and new software deployments.
* Ensure DR/BCP procedures are implemented and validated.
* Manage system maintenance and proactively handle incidents (e.g., via ServiceNOW).
* Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements.
Project Responsibilities
* Ensure smooth transition of projects into support with proper handover and documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
* Promote knowledge sharing across applications.
* Manage vendor relationships and elevate issues as needed.
* Collaborate with the Service Desk on reporting and monitoring.
* Conduct service review meetings with stakeholders.
* Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Keep personal training records up to date.
* Communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
* Support professional development and teamwork across departments.
Major Challenges

Qualifications & Experience
* 5+ years in technology roles.
* Strong customer focus.
* Deep understanding of financial services (preferred).
* Expertise in Kapiti and AS/400 systems.
