A school in Maidstone is seeking a confident, engaging, and resilient individual to lead their Behaviour strategy starting in November 2025.
This role involves managing an inclusion room for students who have been temporarily removed from lessons. You will play a crucial role in settling students, promoting reflection, and reinforcing the school’s behavioural expectations through consistent, positive reinforcement. Your goal will be to support pupils in understanding the impact of their behaviour and help them successfully reintegrate into the classroom. You will be required to work collaboratively with students, teachers, school leaders and outside agencies to ensure that the best strategies are used to get students back into classes quickly.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills, excellent behaviour management skills, and a real commitment to improving student outcomes. While previous experience in a similar role is desirable, it is not essential.
This position would suit someone with experience in pastoral support, youth work, teaching assistant roles, or anyone with a background in working with young people in challenging situations.
In order to succeed in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

2. The ability to build positive relationships quickly with students
3. Confidence in de-escalating challenging situations
4. Strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset
5. Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting
