As a Painter & Decorator, you will be responsible for working as part of the Facilities Team to help deliver the following: Carry out general Painter & Decorator duties within the SEC campus. Carry out remedial works were required to enable a well-presented building environment for customers, clients and staff. Carry out planned and reactive works for all campus infrastructure and utilise knowledge to request jobs, raise concerns or co-ordinate on multi-faceted activity. Enable integrated planning to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of works within the SEC campus. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Paint walls, ceilings, doors, windows, skirting boards, and other surfaces to a high standard. Ensuring that all paint supplies are at agreed colour codes and are used in the correct areas. Carrying out requests as detailed in the SEC facilities systems. Liaising with Building Fabric Supervisor to record completed work. Ensuring all painting work is carried out within the perimeters of Health and Safety Legislation. Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods. Experience working in occupied premises and managing customer expectations. Ability to work at heights and use access equipment safely. Is self-aware and able to evaluate their own work.
