Seasonal Events Assistant
Salary: £24,870 per annum + generous pension scheme and other benefits
Contract: Fixed term/Full time
Start Date: Mid April - Mid August (Some flexibility on dates may be possible). You must be available from the 17 – 24 July 2026 for the event.
Location: Hybrid: SU Scotland’s office in Glasgow/Home; and Lendrick Muir for the Magnitude Festival
Who we are:
Scripture Union Scotland is a national charity, with around 140 staff and over 2,500 volunteers. Our vision is to see every child and young person of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.
We are seeking to recruit a Seasonal Events Assistant to join the Magnitude Team, which sits within the Creative Team at SU Scotland.
Magnitude is a five‑day annual Christian youth festival for young people aged 11‑18. Based in the breath‑taking Lendrick Muir estate near Kinross, it is a week like no other: a space to encounter God, enjoy community and experience nature together. Get the lowdown at www.magnitude.org.uk.

Purpose
Working with the event Planning Team and Magnitude Events Manager, this role will be assisting at the absolute epicentre of the action, bringing all the strands of communications and administration.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with the delivery of Magnitude festival
* Event admin and delivery support for other events as required.
* Participate fully in the life and ministry of Scripture Union Scotland.

We are seeking applicants who are conscientious, resourceful and reliable with great communication and administration skills. You will be a highly motivated, efficient and organised team member who will be happy to take on a range of different tasks and roles throughout the planning and delivery of the festival. Candidates should also be passionate about creating events to help young people to grow in their faith.
For this post, it is important that you are committed to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision and demonstrate this through your commitment and motivation. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post‑holder is a committed Christian.
