Financial Controller – Publishing Your new company:Our Client is a well-established publishing company who are hiring a new Financial Controller based in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an ACA-qualified, technically strong Finance Manager looking to take the next step in a more creative environment. You’ll be the third member of the finance team and will lead and manage the finance function. Your new role: Lead all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, tax and VAT work Manage month-end and year-end close processes You will be doing the group consolidations and statutory accounts. Liaise with external auditors and advisors Drive process improvements and reporting automation Lead and develop the finance team of six Own finance systems and controls You will be reporting to the Finance Director. What you'll need to succeed: ACA qualified Strong technical accounting knowledge (UK GAAP/IFRS) Experience in publishing or stock accounting is highly desirable but not needed Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams Hands-on experience in VAT and tax compliance Background in SMEs or fast-paced environments is a plus.
