Are you a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are working with a welcoming primary school in Wolverhampton who are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with autism, starting in September 2025.
The Role:
* Providing consistent 1:1 support to a child with autism in an Early Years setting
* Supporting the child's learning, communication, and social development
* Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
* Implementing tailored strategies and interventions to meet individual needs
* Ensuring a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience supporting children with autism or SEN in a school or nursery setting
* A patient, calm, and empathetic approach
* Good understanding of early childhood development and SEN strategies
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE or equivalent) is desirable
