Two exciting Apprenticeship opportunities have arisen within the District Council. The Apprenticeship Programme will run for a period of two years from September 2024.
1. The overall aim of the Apprenticeship Programme is to enable post holders to learn about the services delivered by the District Council whilst developing knowledge and skills through hands on experience as well as via Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship Training.
2. The Apprentice will work within a range of District Council Departments, under a planned carrousel arrangement, working under supervision and guidance to develop skills, knowledge and experience to provide delivery of a friendly, helpful and efficient service to the Council’s internal and external customers. This could include face to face service delivery as well as by telephone and electronic means.
3. At the end of the two-year programme, it is anticipated that Apprentices will become employment ready and will be given the opportunity to apply for available permanent employment opportunities within the District Council.
