The Vacancy
IRIS Software Group is one of the UK’s largest and most successful privately-owned technology companies — with an exciting future ahead.
Our software powers over 100,000 organisations, from schools and accountants to global enterprises, helping them thrive and grow. But behind our technology is something even more powerful: our people.
We’re offering talented, early-career individuals the opportunity to join us as HR Associates — entry-level roles designed to launch long-term careers in Human Resources. If you’re graduating this year or recently completed your degree, this is your chance to become part of something ambitious, inclusive and career-defining.
You’ll be based full-time, 5 days a week at our modern Heathrow Approach office in Slough (SL3 8QY) — joining a supportive environment where you’ll learn, contribute, and build the foundations of a successful career in HR.
What Will You Be Doing?
As an HR Associate, you’ll become a key part of our People team — contributing to real business impact while learning from experienced professionals who want to see you thrive.
Your role could include:
* Supporting employee onboarding, engagement and wellbeing activities.
* Responding to day-to-day HR queries and managing shared inboxes.
* Maintaining accurate employee records and HR data.
* Drafting letters, contracts, and documentation with care and precision.
* Helping to deliver business-wide projects focused on benefits, training and culture.
* Playing a part in shaping a workplace that’s inclusive, collaborative and future-focused.
This is your chance to do real, meaningful work from day one — not just shadow, but shine.
What Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for high-potential, early-career professionals who are ready to learn fast, grow quickly, and bring energy and purpose to everything they do.
You’ll be a great fit if you:
* Are graduating in 2025 or recently earned a degree (any discipline).
* Communicate clearly, confidently and respectfully.
* Are curious, organised and excited by new challenges.
* Enjoy getting stuck into detail and solving problems.
* Bring a can-do mindset and a desire to do great work.
* Thrive in a people-first, fast-moving team environment.
You don’t need HR or office experience to apply — just the talent, drive and ambition to start strong and go far.
What Can IRIS Offer You?
* A powerful launchpad into a future-proof HR career.
* A permanent, full-time role with opportunities to grow from day one.
* Mentoring and support from a brilliant, experienced HR team.
* Exposure to a broad range of real HR activity — not just admin.
* A role in one of the UK’s fastest-growing tech businesses.
* The opportunity to join a workplace that’s consistently ranked a Great Place to Work.
This is where brilliant HR careers begin.
The Application Process
We’ve designed a supportive and inclusive process to help you shine:
Send us your CV and a short application — we’re keen to hear why you’re interested in HR and what excites you about joining IRIS.
If shortlisted, you’ll complete two short assessments that help us understand how you think and work.
* CCAT – A quick, 15-minute timed assessment covering verbal, numerical, and logical reasoning. It’s best done somewhere quiet, with a pen and paper handy.
* EPP – An untimed personality profile focused on your working style and approach to challenges. No right or wrong answers — just be yourself. These are widely used and designed to be fair and inclusive, helping us see beyond your CV.
A short, friendly chat over Microsoft Teams with someone from our Talent team. It’s your chance to ask questions and learn more about the role and life at IRIS.
Join us at our Slough HQ for an interactive, in-person session with other candidates in mid to lateJune (date to be confirmed). You’ll take part in team-based activities, meet our People team, and get a real feel for our culture.
