We are looking for an experienced Envelope Printer with hands-on HALM press experience to join Paragon’s production team, based in Castleford, West Yorkshire.
As the Envelope Printer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining envelope printing machinery while ensuring high-quality outputs and meeting production targets. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical printing knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
This is a permanent full-time site-based role, working 37.5 per week, shifts 6am–2pm or 2pm–10pm (Monday to Friday)
HALM Experience is required for this role
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and maintain HALM envelope printing machines
* Read and interpret job specifications, artwork, and production instructions
* Ensure print quality meets required standards, including registration, colour consistency, and alignment
* Carry out routine machine checks, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting
* Monitor production runs to minimise waste and downtime
* Load materials (envelopes, inks, plates, etc.) and manage stock usage
* Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
* Record production data accurately (output, waste, downtime, etc.)
* Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to meet production deadlines
* Follow all health & safety, quality, and site procedures at all times
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience operating HALM envelope printing machines
* Background in envelope or commercial print production
* Strong understanding of print quality standards and colour control
* Ability to carry out machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
* Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
* Comfortable working to production targets and deadlines
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Health & Safety – follow safety working practices at all times
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing/factory environment
* Manual handling is involved
