The role:
Reporting to the General Sales Manager, the key objective of the Internal Sales Executive will be to provide dedicated sales support to the various sales teams from receipt of initial enquiry to the acceptance and processing of new orders, whilst being the main focal point for all new general enquiries
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
1. Offer all-round excellent sales support to the Sales Account Managers and Representatives to assist the overall smooth running of the sales office operation and support the delivery of the respective Sales Teams’ strategies
2. Handle front-line telephone calls and respond to requests for information
3. Deal proactively and effectively with incoming general customer enquiries
4. Maintain customer records, and log details of new enquiries within CRM Intranet database
5. Oversee excellent sales administration processes, reporting on sales performance effectively
6. Work with various departmental price lists, discount structures and trading terms to calculate customer selling prices
7. Provide detailed and technical quotations to customers and manage quotations in the intranet quotation log, ensuring efficient follow up and order forecasting
8. Take ownership of daily activities geared to maximising sales, e.g. quote follow up and inactive account contact as well as undertaking cold calling activities
9. Review orders prior to order input, working alongside the customer services team
10. Deal promptly with any issues in a problem-solving capacity
11. Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with specific customer accounts, working closely to ensure overall Company sales strategies are implemented
12. Ensure excellent working relations with inter-departmental staff, partner organisations and external service providers
13. Provision of excellent consistent internal sales support for the aligned sales teams
14. Provide assigned customer and distribution accounts with excellent sales support for new enquiries and quotations
15. Ensure internal CRM databases are updated daily
16. Ensure the delivery of a first-class customer / consumer correspondence service
17. Ensure the delivery of a first-class Telesales service
18. Maintain excellent working relationships internally and externally
19. Consistently adhere to team standards of service delivery
20. Ensure 100% attention to detail and excellent delivery of administration responsibilities
The successful candidate:
21. Experience of working in a fast-paced and often demanding sales environment
22. Experience ideally gained from an engineering industry dealing with technical products
23. Experience in a similar internal sales role with demonstrable customer service experience
24. Good level of academic achievement
25. Excellent telephone manner
26. Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure
27. Excellent communication / interpersonal skills to interact successfully at all levels
28. Competent organisational, planning, prioritising, and time management skills
29. Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
30. First-class customer service skills and in possession of excellent relationship management techniques
31. Ability to instil trust and confidence in others
32. Persuasive with good negotiating skills, diplomacy and negotiating skills
33. Team Player and able to work autonomously
34. Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM systems. SAP experience preferred but not essential
