Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Manager to lead the financial operations of our UK entity. This role will be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency during our growth phase. The ideal candidate will possess a solid accounting background, working knowledge of EMI regulatory frameworks, and a collaborative mindset suited to a fast-paced, international fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
• Execute daily financial operations, including bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and payment approvals.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, internal financial reports, and performance dashboards.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process in coordination with Group Finance.
FCA Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of FCA regulatory reports (e.g. REP018, REP017).
• Monitor safeguarding practices, conduct daily and periodic reconciliations, and ensure compliance with EMRs and PSRs.
• Maintain robust documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance at all times.
Governance & Audit Support
• Maintain accurate financial records aligned with statutory and audit standards.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
• Assist in monitoring capital adequacy and financial risk metrics.
Process & Control Improvements
• Strengthen internal financial controls, procedures, and documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial systems, tools, or workflows to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in an EMI, PSP, fintech, or regulated financial services firm.
• Strong understanding of UK financial regulatory obligations, particularly safeguarding requirements and FCA reporting.
• Proficient in financial software tools (e.g. Xero, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Highly organised, detail-focused, and capable of working independently in a growing team environment.
Preferred:
• Hands-on experience preparing FCA regulatory returns.
• Familiarity with cross-border payments, e-money operations, or card processing.
