Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for RN / RSCN to join our busy Emergency Department on a fixed-term basis as we start a multi-million transformation and expansion. We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated, forward-thinking individuals who are keen to learn and innovate.
We are a busy environment with a high turnover of patients, treating children and adults with a range of conditions including minor injuries, major trauma, medical and surgical emergencies and mental health conditions. Clinical working areas include Majors, Minors, EDAU and Resus. A dedicated Clinical Practice Educator provides robust support and education as you begin your journey.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a motivated team and on own initiative in a swiftly changing and challenging environment.
* Provide care across ED clinical areas as required, including Majors, Minors, EDAU and Resus.
* Participate in internal rotation for all ED staff.
* Develop personal practice and gain experience in all aspects of emergency care.
* Work 12.5-hour shifts (1 hour break), day and night, as part of the department’s rota.
Qualifications and Skills
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment and contribute to a team as well as work independently.
