Revenues and Benefits Officer
£27,254 - £28,598 per annum | Full time | Permanent
The successful candidate will deal with all aspects of the billing, collection and recovery of Council Tax. This will include responding to enquiries from the general public, the correct application of discounts, exemptions and recovery work which will include setting instalment arrangements, taking payments and overseeing enforcement action. Attention to detail and the ability to digest complex rules and regulations is important to us.
We pride ourselves on the excellent delivery of our service, therefore it is essential for the successful applicant to have experience of working with the general public and excellent communication and customer service skills, experience of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines, as well as being courteous, tactful and resilient and having the ability to absorb and apply the requirement of complex legislation.
