We’re looking for a dependable Building Security and Workplace Officer to join our team and help ensure our facilities are secure, efficient, and ready for use each day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Secure and close all council buildings at the end of the working day.
* Perform routine security checks and lock-up procedures.
* Carry out checks on Touch Down / Agile workstations, Multi-Functional Devices (MFDs), breakout areas, and welfare facilities across all office buildings.
* Log and report issues with IT equipment and furniture to ICT and FM teams for repair or replacement.
* Support the completion of practical tasks that cannot be done during standard working hours, such as minor repairs and step ladder tasks.
* Maintain accurate records of checks, issues, and actions taken.
Essential Requirements for applicants:
* Full UK driving licence – travel between council buildings is required.
* Proven experience working in a busy office environment.
* Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills. Level 2 in numeracy and literacy, or equivalent qualifications.
