Wildlife Fundraiser

Are you passionate about nature and confident talking to people? Looking for a rewarding seasonal role where every day feels different?

Join the Fundraising Team in the Sussex area, where you’ll help inspire public support for nature.

Please apply only if you live within 10 miles of desired area - (Unless you are relocating). Each day you can expect to be travelling to nearby towns and events around the local areas of Horsham, Crawley and Southwater.

Position: Wildlife Fundraiser Flexible in Sussex

Ref: FEB20263155

Location: Flexible in Sussex

Salary: £25, - £27, per annum

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: Sun, 1st Mar 2026. We reserve the right to close this recruitment at any stage once we have made a hire.

The Role

This isn’t a desk job - it’s all about people.

Each day you’ll:

1. Travel to local venues using a company van (fuel and parking covered; average travel time up to one hour each way).
2. Set up engaging and eye-catching fundraising stands.
3. Chat with the public about nature and the RSPB’s mission.
4. Inspire people to support us through regular giving.

You’ll spend your days outdoors, meeting new people, and making a tangible impact for wildlife. It takes confidence and resilience - but it’s incredibly rewarding.

What We Offer:

5. Full training provided - no wildlife knowledge required.
6. Stable salary (not commission-based).
7. Company van for business use (all fuel and expenses covered).
8. 34 days annual leave (including bank holidays, pro rata).
9. Flexible working options - 3, 4 or 5 days per week.

What We Need from You:

11. Passion for people and conservation.
12. Confidence engaging with members of the public.
13. Resilience and positivity when faced with challenges.
14. Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
15. A full UK driving licence.
16. Willingness to travel on average up to one hour each way from home.
17. Fundraising, sales or customer service experience (desirable).
18. Availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

Additional Information

19. Start date: February/March/April 2026
20. Induction and training provided at HQ, Sandy, Bedfordshire (travel and accommodation covered).
21. We may close early if sufficient applications are received.
