Overview
Coventry and Warwickshire Pathology Service (CWPS) offers an exciting opportunity for a Network Cellular Pathology Manager to join its management team.
CWPS operates pathology laboratories across three hospital sites: Coventry Hospital (UHCW), George Eliot Hospital and South Warwick Hospital (SWFT), serving 1.8 million patients in the region.
The Cellular Pathology laboratories and mortuary are based at UHCW and SWFT. Staff perform an array of histological techniques including dissection, embedding, microtomy, QC, special staining, immunohistochemistry and digital scanning.
Both laboratories are installing new state‑of‑the‑art histopathology instrumentation, have implemented a digital pathology solution and have other developments in the pipeline.
CWPS mortuary services conduct forensic work in the local area and are early in upgrading facilities.
