About The Role
Are you a commercially minded person with strong stakeholder management skill? We're recruiting a Commercial Manager to join our Insurance team. This role supports our ambitious multi-channel commercial strategy by working closely with third-party providers and internal experts. You'll manage specific product lifecycle elements to ensure we deliver optimal customer value, all while staying true to our strategic and operational objectives.

* Salary range - £50,500-£79,400
* Contract type - This position is a fixed term contract or Secondment until September 2026
* Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage product P&L through ongoing trade analysis, internal and external stakeholder management, and management of commercial risks and opportunities
* Undertake analysis and deliver recommendations for product enhancements which drive competitive position, customer satisfaction and profit based on sound industry and market research
* Assist in planning, analysing and delivering product developments to maximise value through New Business and In Life activity
* Owning elements of the product life cycle and mix to maximise customer value and returns
* Leverage insight and internal and external networks to keep abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends, including technological advancements.
* Own business processes, frameworks and tools within your area, continuously improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Manage and deliver projects ensuring delivery in line with the critical path
* Responsible for compliance with John Lewis policies & procedures within the legal and regulatory framework

Essential Skills/experience You'll Need

* Negotiation and influencing skills whilst building strong stakeholder relationships
* Experience of working within a complex matrixed environment
* Proven experience in written and verbal communication
* Experience of data analysis and making recommendations
* Numerate

Desirable Skills/experience You May Have

* Financial Services Product Management experience
