Overview
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of those affected by domestic abuse? We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join our Housing Solutions team.
In this vital role, you’ll provide tailored support to individuals and families living in refuge or emergency accommodation. You’ll work closely with clients to assess their needs, offer practical advice, and connect them with services that promote safety, wellbeing, and long-term housing stability.
Responsibilities
* Supporting clients to move from temporary to settled accommodation.
* Helping clients maintain tenancies and avoid repeat homelessness.
* Working collaboratively with landlords, support agencies, and internal teams.
* Delivering person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
* Advocating for clients at multi-agency meetings and ensuring their voices are heard.
Qualifications and skills
* Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally those affected by domestic abuse.
* A strong understanding of housing legislation, homelessness prevention, and tenancy sustainment.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
