Agricultural Service Manager (DH-250632-1)
Location: Colchester, England. Sector: Engineering.
Benefits: Company vehicle, bonus scheme.
Hours: 42 hrs/week, Monday–Friday 8:00–17:30 (1‑hour unpaid lunch). Occasional alternate Saturdays and peak periods may be required.
Salary & Benefits: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus company vehicle and profit‑related bonus.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and support service technicians to deliver high‑quality repairs
* Manage departmental workflow, including scheduling, P&L, KPIs, and warranty claims
* Maintain excellent customer relationships, resolving issues efficiently and diplomatically
* Communicate effectively with management, customers, and team members
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety standards
* Handle staff matters confidently and in line with company policies
* Plan and organise workloads to maintain smooth operations, including peak periods such as harvest
* Work independently and proactively solve operational challenges
Skills & Experience
* Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery, ideally including CNH, New Holland, and Case products
* Previous supervisory or management experience in a busy service environment
* Experience managing KPIs, P&L, and warranty processes
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Organised, proactive, and able to multitask effectively
* Confident in managing staff and customer expectations
* Hands‑on approach with a practical understanding of service operations
