What's the role all about?
The Environmental Health and Housing Team is a multi-disciplined team covering both environmental crime and housing enforcement across North East Lincolnshire.
The area covers the town of Grimsby, the seaside resort of Cleethorpes and the industrial town of Immingham within the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds.
It's an exciting time to be joining our team as we transform and integrate our regulation and enforcement services to deliver on the issues that matter to the 160,000 residents of North East Lincolnshire.
What will your day look like?
You will be part of the management team within a multi-disciplined frontline service tackling environmental crime and housing standards. You will provide visible day to day operational management of a team of Environmental Enforcement and Environmental Health Officers delivering a range of public health, environmental, highway and general community and street scene enforcement. Holding an appropriate operational caseload this role is the perfect opportunity to progress to the next stage of your career.
You will be passionate and committed to the development of others, supporting and mentoring our trainee and apprentice Environmental Health Practitioners within the team.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and passionate regulator with a 'can do' attitude who can provide operational management to a small team focussed on protecting and enhancing the health, welfare and environment of North East Lincolnshire.
The ideal candidate will hold an accredited qualification in Environmental Health and be a registered practitioner with the CIEH Environmental Health Registration Board or have relevant other qualifications or experience that would allow the post holder to undertake the role.
